17 THINGS I LEARNED IN 2017

This may come as a surprise to most of you, but 2017 was not my favorite year. Is this a bad thing?Absolutely not. Because, to sum up, 2017 was the year of learning, the year of challenges. And as we all know nothing grows from the most wonderful place in the whole wide world: the comfort zone. In the last few days I reflected 2017 and eliminated what does not belong to my life anymore because what 2017 was not, was the year of focus. In 2018 I only want to focus on myself, on my growth and realizing all my hidden wishes. The time has come. Let's see what 2017 taught me. The good and the bad.

1. Patience. With people, with business, with myself.
2. Avoid drama like the plague. Not everything and everyone deserves my attention.
3. Whatever the circumstances, I never gave up. Never. Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.
4. There are smarter people than you. Learn from them. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.
5. My goal was never really money. My goal is living on my own terms. Freedom.
6. Gratefulness. Great things happened when I embraced my blessings instead of always wanting more than I have.
7. There is nothing wrong with wanting more than an average life and I should not and will never apologize for that.
8. People you know for a month can be better company than people you know for 10 years.
9. Quality over quantity. With friends. Food. Followers. And wine.
10. Family over everything.
11. Taking time off is as important as working hard day and night. There is and should be time for everything.
12. Everyone loves you until you become competition.
13. Never hold grudges. It will consume you from the inside out. Forgive people. Then let them go.
14. The universe sent me exactly what I wanted. Then sent me distractions to see if I f*** it up. Don't lose the main focus. You are allowed to be shaken by distractions, even knocked down but get the hell back up and remember why you started.
15. Don't let your past define you. It was a lesson, not a life sentence. Grow (up).
16. What comes easy, won't last. And what lasts, won't come easy. Growth takes time.
17. Sometimes it takes 10 years to get that 1 year that changes you.

2018, I am ready.

I don'thave NY resolutions. I have life plans.
