Sindianas' Recipes: Fit Balls

One of the girls on Snapchat (also a fellow blogger whom I share my name with, check her out here) asked me why I never share recipes of the food I post on social media. It got me reminiscing of the fact that creating food used to be my favorite activity and I really enjoy it, therefore I should 'post what I preach'. And I used the word creating instead of baking, cooking etc. because I neither use nor read any recipes and always create something by my own guts. This recipe is one of them. I didn't measure anything so you add the ingredients in a ratio you prefer. I also created a new section on my blog, Recipes, so you can expect more of these. Let's dig in! (I mean first you have to make them, then you can dig in ;))

What you will need:

• cacao powder
• dates or dried apricot
• almonds and other nuts
• 1 orange (juice and a bit of pulp)
• water (a few drops!)
• chia seeds
• coconut flour
• vanilla extract or cinnamon (optional)

Bam! That's it. You simply put everything in a food processor (or smoothie maker) and blend the ingredients until you get some sort of a 'dough' and start rolling smaller sections of it between your palms until you get some balls (yes, I can sense the awkwardness). If it doesn't hold well together, keep adding the coconut flour until it is right. I had to add quite a lot of it at the end because I added way too much water. Finally, I also rolled every other ball in some coconut flour, because I really like coconut and I think it also looks good on a plate.

My kitchen suddenly started to smell heavenly, like one of those chocolate covered Frutabela bars. I invited some friends over to give them a taste and the feedback was amazing. I would like to know whether you liked more recipes like that? Should you find  not knowing the measurements confusing, I can actually put the effort it and start measure things as I create. Most of the time, yes. I actually really enjoy writing, much more than typing.

I don’t eat meat.

It would be a real challenge but definitely, yes. I think the best friendship possible is the one you have with yourself.You have no choice, really, so the one relationship you should really work hard on, is exactly this one.

In my dreams, I am always scared of heights. So, IDK, really…

Does oatmeal count? I stopped eating regular, sweetened cereal and really got used to plain oats (and by plain I mean I top it with EVERYTHING).

Yes.

Ice cream. Period. (I dislike lemon ice cream, though).

Currently I am barefoot. Summer time in the hood!

My version of the vegan omelette: cubed zucchini, tomato and tofu with cayenne pepper and tomato sauce.

There is no food on Earth I dislike (some of them I choose not to eat due ethical reasons but otherwise, I am an everything-eater. Literally. And tomatoes are my life. People are made of 3/4 of water, I am made of 3/4 tomatoes I guess).

I have so many amazing friends: Charli, a person-like cat who lives here in Maribor with me. Then at home I have a dog named Sky, whom I adore, and my king-meow, Eros. And Pufi, my first friend ever but she lives in my heart now.
